Effective Verticillium Control and Prevention

Verticillium is a serious fungal disease that is known to attack over 300 different plants, including pepper, tomato, potato, alfalfa, roses, raspberries, strawberries, and ornamental trees such as maple, aspen, elm, ash, and oak.  It is particularly pernicious because it spreads internally and systemically to kill plants and trees.

Effectively managing and eradicating Verticillium can be quite challenging since direct chemical control generally produces unsatisfactory results.  However, soil treatments using fungicides such as TerraClean can effectively kill verticillium pathogens. TerraClean is particularly effective because its break-through scientific formula penetrates soil and chemically reacts to eradicate a wide variety of harmful soil-borne pathogens including:

  • Fusarium
  • Rhizoctonia
  • Pythium
  • Phytophthora
  • Verticillium
  • Thielaviopsis

TerraClean also has several other notable benefits.  It has a Zero-Hour REI, is EPA approved, can be applied from planting to harvest, is easily and effectively applied through drip irrigation using micro-emitters or drip tape, and enhances soil productivity by increasing oxygenation of root systems, stimulating root development, nutrient intake, and plant growth.

TerraClean most effectively controls soil-borne disease pathogens when applied at planting time.  To apply TerraClean at planting time, mix TerraClean with setting water using broadcast or banded application.

It is also recommended that TerraClean be used to cleanse soil from harmful pathogens between plantings whenever the same soil is used to grow multiple crops in succession.

Note that TerraClean is not designed to be applied directly to foliage.  Rather, its unique chemical formula contains high concentrations of organic acids that are specifically formulated for soil applications.
